The Village du bûcheron (Lumberjack Village) is the most complete interpretation centre on forest history in Quebec. It features more than 20 buildings that showcase different aspects of the forest industry of the past: life in the forest, timber transportation, wood processing and the mechanization of work. The museum’s collection includes more than 1,000 artifacts and antiques, including nearly 100 chainsaws and a dozen vehicles such as snowmobiles and Skidoos. A great way to rediscover Quebec and travel through the country’s history and lumberjacks’ legends! Guided tours are available only on reservation for groups of 15 adults or more.
